ABOUT US

About

Pixie B is a Hong Kong-based boutique consultancy and agency. We thrive on solving the challenges of working across cultures and borders. Our mission is to help our clients unlock opportunities and navigate complexity with confidence.

WHY ARE WE CALLED "PIXIE B"?

The common thread running through all our work is the challenge and opportunity intrinsic to working across cultures, languages, and markets. The same concept, story, or product will be understood differently by a people depending on where, when, and how they experience it.

In Chinese, our name is Pixie Buxie (皮鞋布鞋) - literally, leather shoe, cloth shoe - suggesting a conjunction of the old and new, traditional and modern, East Asian and Western. Then, in English, that same spelling - pixie - has an entirely different meaning, as a mischievous sprite. Same word, entirely different reading depending on your linguistic starting point.

Our team combines market-leading expertise with decades of hands-on experience in key Asian territories, including China, South Korea, Japan, Taiwan and Singapore. Whether it be strategic consulting, leadership development, or IP and brand management, Pixie B is available to deliver solutions tailored to individual client needs.

The leaders of our consulting practice are sector specialists with expertise in publishing, IP management and storytelling brands, as well as the luxury, news media, education and retail sectors. Our network of associates across Asia have decades of in-market experience, and we provide targeted business reviews,  strategic insight, and market intelligence for businesses seeking market entry or looking to find new channels, territories, and audiences.

Our market-leading IP management agency has a proven track record supporting complex global content brands in Asia and the West. We find new markets, partnerships, and channels, and manage the commercials for major brands and licensing franchise deals. We sell into formats and sectors including publishing, audio, film, gaming, and education.

Our literary agency partners with leading literary agencies in the US and UK to support writers working from book-to-film as well as between international and Asia-Pacific markets.

Our leadership development and corporate training practice supports companies as they upskill workforces and enable leaders to deliver on strategies. Our courses and coaching services are delivered by fully-accredited MBTI and IECL trainers. Our specialists also provide training on a range of business transformation, strategic development, change management, and finance and operational topics.
