Tasked with directing the company's market-leading digital presence in China for the global digital publishers of the Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts series, Pixie B provides IP representation, strategic intelligence, and commercial advice related to Pottermore's audiobooks, eBooks and associated digital products from the Wizarding World™.
Recent projects include the successful launch of the Harry Potter Reading Camp in June 2021, challenging Chinese readers of English to read the original seven books in a the Mint Reading ( 薄荷阅读) digital platform. The Peony Literary Agency is Pixie B's primary co-agency partner. Founded in 2009 by Marysia Juszczakiewicz, Peony is one of the most prolific multilingual literary agencies in Asia. As a small but ambitious and client-centered business, Peony represents writers of fiction and nonfiction worldwide with particular focus on Asia, especially on China. Clients write about the recent and ancient history of the continent, and of their own personal experiences of its emergence as an industrial and economic powerhouse, and imagine new narratives highlighting topical issues. Titles and authors jointly represented by Pixie B and Peony include The Disappearing Act by Florence de Changy (HarperCollins 2021) and The Six by Steven Schwankert (CITIC Press, 2021).
