Prue Gibson

Prudence Gibson is a Sydney-based art and fiction writer and academic. The author of books including The Plant Thieves (NewSouth 2023), Prue is an expert on the history of plants, poisons, and toxicology. Based at UNSW School of Art & Design (Sydney), her research covers plant humanities, environmental aesthetics, and ecofeminism. 

Her latest book, Just Poison Him, explores a history of poisoning and toxicology through the lease of a recent true crime and asks the question: why do our societies fear female poisoners?

Jill Robinson

Jill Robinson MBE, Dr.med.vet. h.c. is an animal welfare pioneer, working to protect animals in Asia since 1985. Steven Schwankert

Steven Schwankert is an award-winning writer and editor with 25 years of experience in Greater China, focusing on exploration, technology, and culture. He is the author of The Six, a book and documentary project about the Chinese survivors of Titanic.

 

A veteran underwater explorer, he led the first-ever scientific expedition to dive Lake Khovsgol, Mongolia, in 2007, where he and his team found two early 20th century wooden shipwrecks. He was the author of Poseidon: China's Secret Salvage of Britain's Lost Submarine. Steven's journalism work has been published in publications including The South China Morning Post, Billboard, Variety, and The Hollywood Reporter, The New York Times and The Washington Post. Steven is a resident of New Jersey, USA.
